We support custom domains such as http://forum.islington.cc.
If you need one added, email us and one of us will set it up.
Will also be added to the admin console soon.
To set up a custom domain you will need access to your DNS (Domain Name Server) records.
A custom domain involves creating a CNAME record using the tools provided by your DNS provider.
If you wanted to have forum.example.org as your forum domain name, then you would create a CNAME record that is:
forum.example.org. CNAME yourforum.microco.sm.
Once set up, we will validate the existence of the record, and will then reconfigure the forum to use that as the only domain name by which the forum is accessible.
Due to limitations with CNAME records in DNS, it is not possible to use a naked domain ( example.org ) as your forum domain. You must use a subdomain, though it is possible to use http://www.example.org as your domain.
If you use custom domain facility; DNS must be included our flexibility.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
